Overview

Thomas Smith & Co. Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Airfreight Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless coordination of airfreight shipments, working closely with courier partners, airlines, and internal departments to deliver efficient and reliable logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate airfreight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including airwaybills and customer billing.
  • Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders and other service providers to negotiate rates and obtain flight itineraries.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure we are meeting their expectations.
  • Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, delivery timelines and any potential delays or issues.
  • To deliver a stellar service and provide a positive experience to all customers
  • To work closely with our overseas agents to ensure a smooth execution of the end-to-end shipment lifecycle.
  • To prepare proposals for both import and export airfreight enquiries using the appropriate software
  • Ensure all shipments comply with relevant IATA, ISO, airline standard regulations and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate collections and deliveries of all airfreight shipments with the respective hauler as per customer’s requirements

Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Good organizational and time-management skills

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficient in using computers and standard office applications

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team

Education and Experience
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field will be considered an asset.

  • Previous experience in administration, courier services, or logistics operations is advantageous.
