Thomas Smith Insurance Agency, is looking for a motivated Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The role involves underwriting non-life insurance products, supporting clients and intermediaries, and assisting in the daily operations of the Underwriting Department. Candidates should be team players with strong communication skills in Maltese and English, able to work independently, and committed to helping us achieve our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwriting and securing non-life insurance products;
Assist and service direct clients and intermediaries;
Assist in achieving the Agency targets;
Must be able to communicate effectively in Maltese and English
Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and willing to provide feedback and contribute to ongoing improvement
Although preference will be given to candidates with at least two years experience in insurance candidates with no insurance experience will still be considered as on the job training will be provided to the selected applicant.
