Position overview

Handling the shipping logistics of our top customers, ensuring a consistent and smooth operational process, while minimizing costs and ensuring timely deliveries. Liaising with freight forwarders and service providers, both local and overseas, you will negotiate rates and schedules to the satisfaction of our customers whilst attending to all their enquiries and orders placed.

Key responsibilities

Coordinating shipments from origin to destination

Ensure timely and efficient deliveries within given delivery deadlines

Prepare and manage all shipping documentation

Maintain a shipments log sheet, to be kept updated daily with all data recorded

Liaise with freight forwarders and other service providers to negotiate rates and schedules

Coordinate customs instructions to ensure a smooth customs clearance whilst complying with the customs regulations and procedures

Address any issues that may arise during the shipment process, including delays, damages, short shipments and discrepancies

Track and analyze the performance of the freight forwarders and courier companies

Performance analysis helping to identify areas for improvement and maintain high service standards

Qualifications and skills

Strong customer service skills to deal with all enquiries and cultivate relationships with future clients
