Overview

Join Thomas Smith as an HR Executive and play a pivotal role in supporting our HR department. This role is integral to fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring efficient HR operations. 

Job Summary: 

The HR Executive will be responsible for supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance and HR administration. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, coordinating interviews and managing candidate communications; 
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of onboarding materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of all necessary documentation;
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, providing support and guidance on HR policies and procedures. 
  • Support the performance appraisal process by coordinating performance reviews, collecting feedback and assisting with the development of performance improvement plans; 
  • Ensure HR practices comply with labour laws and company policies, including maintaining accurate employee records and documentation; 
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating training programs, workshops and seminars to support employee development;
  • Help implement HR policies and procedures, and ensure they are communicated effectively to all employees; 
  • Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other company benefits; 
  • Prepare and maintain HR metrics and reports, such as turnover rates, recruitment statistics and training outcomes, for management review; 
  • Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, preparing HR documents and assisting with HR projects as needed.

 

Qualifications and skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Previous experience in HR or a related field is preferred;
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws;
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems; 
  • Able to work full-time during office hours, Monday to Friday.
